WinEncrypt.com Encryption Software

Design:

It is easy to be impressed by WinEncrypt.com as it appears to be a very professionally designed site. Smooth color scheme, rounded corners, optimal spacing between elements all make it a winner. I was asked to pay special attention to the page about WinEncrypt CryptArchiver Lite so I will focus my observations on that.

It is hard to find any faults though. The layout works well. Menus are attractive and contextual. The first part of the page attractively displays CryptArchiver Lite's major features on the right and what it is expected to work with on the left. That's consistent with what a visitor interested in this software would probably want to know first. Further parts of the page display more information about the product along with an illustration, highlights and finally the comparison table between the free and paid edition.

During this course, the download and buy buttons are displayed twice which might not be entirely necessary. It is probably enough to display it once in the splash below the main features overview and once more in the comparison table below. It's hard to imagine an interested user will miss it, especially since there is no clutter and the page flows so naturally.

The left sidebar continues with the awards, testimonials and logos of companies which use the software. Their order makes sense and there's hardly anything to suggest with regards to improvements. Why change something that works so well.

Design rating: 10/10

Focus:

The site sells encryption software. It can hardly be clearer than it is. There are multiple variations of the product offered and there seems to be a free and paid edition available for all of them. It might be slightly confusing that the information page for each variation appears to have the same content, with only the name changed. This might require some sort of a clarification.

Focus rating: 10/10

Content:

The product is described in not too many words, in an understandable and easily exciting way, and with feature overviews, an illustration and a comparison table. Exploring other pages also reveals a variety of additional information pertaining to the software offered, from product data sheets and white papers to manuals and frequently asked questions. There is even a forum for the users of WinEncrypt. Needless to say, the writing style is professional, like the rest of the site. There's everything that a site of this kind needs to contain, and it's presented attractively.

Overall:

A first class software product site. Professional design, clear focus and all the information necessary for those interested in or already using WinEncrypt. Hardly any suggestions could be made since the site already does its job extremely well as it is, and the few suggestions that were made may only perfect it. WinEncrypt also sounds like an excellent piece of drive encryption software for Windows users.
