Recently redesigned, ForTheLose.org immediately strikes as a stylish, attractive and well thought out site. Header is beautiful and informative. The sidebar begins with a nice tabbed widget allowing instant switching between views of popular posts, categories and statistics, followed by a search bar, awesome themes selection, links to "biggest fans", archives, link ads and Ralph's photo feed.
Especially notable is how the posts are presented. Title is centered in its own special container displaying post date, author and number of comments beneath so the most important info is neatly in one place. Below the post, also centered is a stylish "read on" button and "filed under" line displaying categories in which the post is included. Best of all, perhaps, is the fancy consistently styled image at the beginning of nearly each post which easily catches the eye and makes the site all that more attractive and colorful.
The footer is creatively designed and probably deserves a place in such presentations as the 25 Stylish Website Footer Designs. It displays site authors' latest twitter entries and a couple of well integrated ads.
This is a case where it's hard to come up with any criticism and suggestions. Since everything looks good and works so well making a suggestion for the suggestion's sake just isn't a good idea. Sometimes we just have to hand it to them. 10/10!

Focus:
The site has an interesting name, "For The Lose", which seems to be a play on an urban saying "for the win", and itself doesn't seem all that related to it's subject matter. Nevertheless that's just interesting trivia, at best, as the site is absolutely clear about its purpose. The tag line in the logo says it; "wordpress themes, flash animations" and the description that is right in the header makes a quick suggestion as to what can be worth viewing.

Content:
Given the stated focus one would expect most posts to be about wordpress designs, flash animations and anything related to their use and creation and it does deliver much of that. However the content also branches into some other more general topics such as making money online, sunday funnies, jellyfish taking over the world and movie reviews. While this may be a distraction for some, it might be purposed to foster a more personal attitude (a couple of theme designers talking about design and more) and build a community. There indeed is a forum.
There is plenty of useful wordpress focused design related posts though, such as step by step how to's and the site also presents a number of interesting flash animations, flash freebies, portfolio and wordpress themes for sale which appear equally as professional as ForTheLose.org's design itself.
Content rating: 9/10
Very well presented and designed ForTheLose.org appears to be a very good wordpress and flash design oriented blog that doubles as a presentation of associated web design offers, wordpress themes, flash animations and custom wordpress design service.
