Upload, Duplicate and Share Your File To Many File Hosts

Design:

Colorful and stylish, Share2Many.com comes with an appealing look meant to attract attention while being fairly easy on the eyes, simple and functional. The straightforward purpose of the site doesn't require a lot and Share2Many does the job.

We are offered a main menu to more information and an attractive three step guide to using the site. The style of the upload field, with greenish stripes in the background, and the ease of selecting services to upload to (just click to have it selected by a green check mark or unselected by a red X) are a nice touch helping make Share2Many appear distinguished.

One nitpick would be the red bar at the top coinciding with the darker part of the green gradient causing a rather bad combination (green and red are hard to look at). A simple solution would be to have the red bar contain a light green border which would then isolate the green from the red and make them overall look compatible. Here is an example:

Share2Many.com top bar

Speaking of things that could still be improved, perhaps the red words of the slogan ("Upload your file to different file hosts") could use a lighter red color or a lighter green for the same reason of better compatibility with the green background. Of course, an alternative to both of the above could be a lighter background or a new background color.

The "remote" page is slightly different as it loses the browse button in the upload field and serves to upload files from a different place online rather than from a local computer. But it could be somewhat more explicit about the difference between it and the main service on the homepage, perhaps by at least making the "Enter direct URL" bigger or bold, or by adding a distinct title to the page saying something like "Remote upload" or "Upload from a another site".

Lastly, the page displaying a status table is very neat (aside from ads, but they're understandable), displaying logos of the upload hosts and download links, animating a progress circle while it is trying to upload to a host and when the upload succeeds immediately displays a download link and a green check mark icon. If it fails, a red X icon is shown. I would merely suggest changing the column title color from black to white or something light to be better visible on the dark red background. But this is still pretty nice.

Focus:

From site's name to its slogan and the quick three step guide immediately available Share2Many.com's purpose is obvious. There's hardly much to add here. This is one of those sites where it's hard to imagine anyone doing any guesswork.

Content:

This is not a content oriented site, but primarily a service of uploading user's files to a number of different upload sites. Still, some basic content is present, or at least linked to. There are a few frequently asked questions which are adequately answered and an about page briefly describing the service and its technological highlights, contact information and a copyright disclaimer.

There are some slip ups on the FAQ page though, a misplaced "the" in this sentence: "...you will get the link to the download page which contains the all the download links"; and the sentence "Share2Many.com allowed you to upload..." was probably meant to say "Share2Many.com allowes instead. The question "Where is the Download Link?" also continues in the same line to the previous question, but was probably meant to go a couple of lines down as a next question.

Continuing with the menu links, the "how" link leads to a page that looks exactly like homepage, making it useless. The same seems to be the case with the "image" link unless there is some sort of a backend difference between the two locations, in which case the site should be explicit about it.

To test the service I've uploaded a S2R test card via Share2Many.com and it went without problems, albeit three of the selected hosts failed to upload. The FAQ promises that it will retry uploading automatically though, which is nice to know. It might also be helpful to offer a "retry" button when the upload fails, and limit the number of times it can be pressed within a certain period of time to prevent abuse. This is a small suggestion, but could add slightly to the overall experience.

Overall:

Share2Many.com has an interesting concept; upload a file to multiple upload services at the same time. This might have some useful applications and Share2Many.com does an elegant job. There are a few mostly minor issues to resolve though, with regards to perfecting the design and completing the linked content, after which this will be a top notch site.
